DiàboloElèctric is an experimental project that merges electricity, ropes, motors, and sound with the movement of the diabolo. David Soria explores engines and mechanical elements, Teresa Santos brings visual depth, and I contribute to the musical landscape. It’s an ongoing investigation, finding new synergies between energy and movement.
I’m using Ableton Live and recorded audio with LOM microphones like Basic Ucho, Geofon, and Elektrouši. I also use some NONRS scripts. Having a background as a diabolist is helpful in shaping the rhythms and flow of the project.
