CANOS is a stage work by Uatumã Fattori that, through juggling, investigates the relationship between juggling balls and tubes as objects for manipulation. The piece is linked to an industrial imagery of factories and workshops, with manual, repetitive, mechanical gestures as a dramaturgical reference.
I work on the original soundtrack, and we record the sound material ourselves from the tubes, the balls, factory visits, and industrial ambiences, using a Zoom H6, a pair of LOM BasicUcho microphones, a LOM Geofon, and electromagnetic microphones. From these recordings we will build a sample library, and the music will be operated live from within the scene using an Elektron Digitakt, with additional processing by running the sound through pedals.
The work is co-produced by the Trengo and Vaudeville Rendez-Vous festivals, with a premiere planned for June 2026.
