Planning your website
A guide and questionnaire to do it with me

Before we start, let me explain how I like to work. My approach is based on using WordPress.org, a platform that allows you to manage your website independently in the long term.

The idea is to provide you with a functional and adaptable tool designed so that you can update and customize it without constantly relying on a technician. My role is clear: to create the design, configure the website, and input the initial content, but the focus is on empowering you to manage it on your own once it’s finished.

To ensure that the project meets all your needs, I have prepared a set of questions that will help us pinpoint the key points before starting the process. This questionnaire is divided into three main areas: foundation, technical aspects, and timeline.

Foundation Questions

These questions will help us define the essence of your website:

  • What is the main purpose of the website?
It could be showcasing your work, selling tickets for events, receiving collaboration requests, or simply having a professional online presence.
  • What structure or page architecture do you need?
Think about sections like “Biography,” “Work,” “Contact,” or any others you consider essential.
  • What visual style or image do you want for the website?
Do you have any references or inspirations from websites you like? This will help us better understand the type of design you’re looking for.

Technical Questions

Here we will specify the practical and functional details of the website:

  • Do you need the website in more than one language?
If so, how many languages would you like to include?
  • Do you have a logo, color palette, or brand guide?
If you already have a defined visual identity, I will integrate it so the website maintains consistency.
  • What content is essential?
Text, images, videos, or other elements you consider key to representing your work.
  • Do you need specific functionalities?
For example, spaces where visitors can easily download portfolios, technical sheets, or any other relevant material for your projects.

Project Timeline

Each project has its peculiarities, and deadlines may vary depending on the needs and complexity. During the first meeting, we will define the phases together and establish a tailored schedule.

The main phases are:

  • Initial Meeting: Define objectives, structure, and gather materials.
  • Design and Prototype: Creation and review of the design until approval.
  • Development: Technical setup, page creation, and functionalities.
  • Launch: Final review, publication, and training for autonomous management.

This outline ensures a clear and organized process. Contact me, and let’s plan the schedule together!

The Process

With these answers, I can start shaping your project by designing a website that not only meets your current needs but is also prepared to grow with you. If you have questions or need support at any point in the questionnaire, I’m here to help you.

Collaboration is key, and this questionnaire is just the first step to building a space that reflects who you are and what you do. When do we start?
